The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Robbie Colgan rode Is She Now (reserve) trained by V.C.Ward (Race 6).

352A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race

L.T. McAteer, rider of East Hampton (GB), trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Cradle Of Love, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he took a check up the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Just Jump, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, Little Lando, ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced and Cradle Of Love, ridden by D.P. McDonogh placed sixth where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that his mount ran green, hung and moved around. R.C. Colgan, stated that he felt pressure from behind and made an effort to check his mount. D.P. McDonogh stated that he had to take a check up the straight when he didn't get into a gap quick enough. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

352B Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk H'cap

L.T. McAteer, rider of Cash Or Crypto, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the stalls and refused to race.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of May Night (GB), trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slow away and never picked up the bridle.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Revenite (GB), trained by P.F.McEnery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen early.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed David Marnane, trainer of Cash Or Crypto, concerning the conduct of this horse who refused to race. In his evidence, David Marnane stated that despite the animal's previous record on the track his charge showed no tendencies to be reluctant at home. He further added that the animal would not race for him again. Having viewed a recording of the start and considering the animal's previous record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended Cash Or Crypto for 40 days in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14(iii).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cash Or Crypto, trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Adam Caffrey, rider of Dontspoilasale, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Evidence was heard from Adam Caffrey who stated that all the riders on the inside took back so he proceeded to make the running while always being clear of the other runners. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider. The Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Adam Caffrey was in breach of rule 211 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Adam Caffrey for one raceday.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of Reinforce, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Evidence was heard from R.P. Whelan who stated that all the riders on the inside took back so he gradually moved across while always being clear of the other runners. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider. The Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.P. Whelan was in breach of rule 211 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended R.P. Whelan for one raceday.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Hero Of The Hour (GB), concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Evidence was heard from J.J.G. Ryan who stated that his mount jumped off smartly and he followed Mr Caffrey. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence. The Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.J.G. Ryan was in breach of rule 211 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended J.J.G. Ryan for one raceday.

352C1 View Restaurant At Dundalk Nursery H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving You Are Mine, ridden by S. Coen, placed third, Junkyard Dog, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed sixth , Great Mover, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, Ja'marr (GB), ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed first, and Petit Fusee, ridden by R.M Mulligan unplaced where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Coen stated that he got a bump which knocked his mount off balance. M.P. Sheehy stated that he felt pressure from the inside. W.J. Lee stated that he felt pressure from the inside. L.T. McAteer stated that though he felt pressure which caused his horse to become unbalanced it did not affect his final placing. R.M Mulligan stated that he quickly corrected his mount who shied away turning into the home straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

W.J. Lee, rider of Great Mover, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was taken off his line so he straightened up.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Ja'marr (GB), trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump turning in.

352C2 View Restaurant At Dundalk Nursery H'cap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Noel Meade, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Your Call, placed second, from the last run whereby the animal finished 15th out of 16. Mr Meade stated that the removal of headgear had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered. Mr. F. Cahill absented himself while the raceday stewards considered this report.

352F William Hill Top Price Guar. Rated Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Pietropaolo, rider of San Andreas, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who felt that his first strike did not make contact. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J. Pietropaolo in breach of R.10.3 (g) (frequency) and having considered his record (second offence under Regulation 10), they suspended him for four racedays. D. P. McDonogh accompanied J. Pietropaolo at this enquiry.

352G Now Racing Every Wednesday H'cap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Paul W. Flynn, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of The Real Screamer, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr Flynn stated that the animal had shown promise on a previous run on the turf and a switch to this surface has brought about this improvement. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Poyraz Approach, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount bolted during the race.
