S. F. O'Keeffe replaced P. Byrnes on Cafe Con Leche, trained by C.Byrnes (Race 3)(Injured).
353A Kilberry Pub & Kitchen M'dn H'dle
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J. Coen, rider of Lygon Lad, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was green, missed the first and he kept a hold of him in the closing stages to get him home.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident leaving the back straight involving Mackenstownsupreme, ridden by B.P. Kennedy, who slipped up, and Hei, ridden by Mr A.P. Kennedy, brought down, where it appeared Mackenstownsupreme came down and brought down Hei. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Lygon Lad, ridden by J. Coen, and trained by Gordon Elliott. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. J. Coen stated that his instructions were to jump off mid division and get him to settle and jump well and finish as best as he could. He added that his mount was very green and is a stayer in the making. Gordon Elliott confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Lygon Lad was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given and took no further action.
353B Lisadell Equine Hospital H'cap H'dleJ.W. Kennedy, rider of Voice Of Reason, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout and never travelled.
353C Hotel Park St. Johann Tirol H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Mediator, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be mildly lame behind post race.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Fiveonefive, trained by Cian Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in the straight.
353D Bar One Racing For Auction Novice H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mywayofthinkin, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its left hind post race.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the back of the second last involving Milo Lises (FR), ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed sixth, and Mr Percy, ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed second, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
353E Railway Bar Lismullen H'dleMs. Kate Harrington, Authorised Representative for Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Jetara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge was showing signs of being in season post race.
353F Bar One Racing Fortria S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Captain Guinness, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference at the last fence involving Found A Fifty, ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed first, and Solness (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. W. Kennedy stated that his mount stalls and jumps out to his right on take off but felt he was always holding the second. D. E. Mullins stated that he suffered intimidation and had his ground taken and he felt it had cost him the race. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
J.W. Kennedy, rider of Found A Fifty, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung and jumped right throughout.
353H Bar One Racing (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms L. Dowdall, rider of Trooper Lewis, concerning her use of the whip throughout this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Ms. L. Dowdall was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency, and 10.3.b, out of contention, and having considered Ms. L. Dowdall's record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended Ms. L. Dowdall for twenty five racedays.
