The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Noel Meade, trainer of Charlie Luciano (Transport difficulties) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C. G. O'Dwyer replaced Corey McGivern on Gevrey (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 7)(Stood down).

244A Irish Examiner 3-Y-O M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, P.J. Carberry, rider of Great Rock (GB), trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very green.

The Stewards reviewed the fall of Shetland Tony (GB), ridden by Corey McGivern, on the approach to the second flight. Gorey McGivern reported to the Stewards that his mount clipped a heel and he was unseated. Having considered the matter and viewed a recording of the race, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that A. J. Martin, trainer of Deluca Chop (FR) had reported to her that Deluca Chop was scoped post race and found to be clean on endoscopic examination.

244B Larkin's Bar & Sheahan's Bar H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Purple Mountain, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Purple Mountain, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not travel well and made several jumping errors.

244C Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Level Neverending, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

244F Kelly Foley O'Connor Pyne H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Smitty Bacall, trained by J.P. Flavin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

244H KWD Recycling INH Flat Race

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P. L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr J. A. Lord, rider of The Reenroe Beach , had presented to weigh out at 2 lbs overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the overweight on this occasion. They were however, satisfied that Mr. J. A. Lord was in breach of Rule 198 (vii)(a), and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards fined Mr. J. A. Lord €150 on this occasion.

The Stewards interviewed Mr A.P. Ryan, rider of Next Week, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. A. P. Ryan was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
