The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Ciaran Murphy, trainer of Innisfree Beauty (off feed) - €200

245C Tom Lynam Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Rotten Row, ridden by D.E. Mullins, and Sargent Lightfoot, ridden by D.F. O'Regan, where it appeared that D.F. O'Regan momentarily checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.F. O'Regan, stated that he had to check his mount at the point of the bend when the horse on his outer raced towards the railing, but felt it was of little consequence. D.E. Mullins, stated that he felt he was clear of the horse on his inner, but having viewed the footage he accepted that Mr. O'Regan had to check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action on this occasion other than to advise D.E. Mullins to ride with more awareness in future.

245D Moyvalley Meats M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed N.T. Prendergast, rider of Highland Sting, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that N.T. Prendergast was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays.

A. McCurtin, rider of Blazing Yeats trained by R.P.Rath, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left and ran out.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Sarsfield trained by John Patrick Ryan was found to be post race normal when examined.

245E Massey Ferguson Johnston Farm H'cap S'ch

The Stewards requested a report from J. Morrison, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Crimson Chief, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. Darren Pratt, Authorised Representative for the trainer, reported that a step up in trip today, in what he felt was a moderate race, had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the report.

245G John Thomas McNamara INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Haddock De Grissay (FR), ridden by Mr E. Middleton, Lake Winnipesaukee, ridden by Mr. J. Dunne, Song For My Father, ridden by Mr. J.J. O'Neill, and Champagnesocialist, ridden by Mr. L.D. Andrews, where it appeared that Haddock De Grissay ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. E. Middleton, stated that he suffered interference and had to check his mount. Mr. J.J. O'Neill, stated that he suffered interference from his outside. Mr. J. Dunne stated that his mount was on the outside, but felt he had left enough room for those on his inner. Mr. L.D. Andrews, stated that his mount moved inwards and accepted that he had failed to make a correction. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. L.D. Andrews was in breach of Rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.
