228A Think Print & Design M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Sabrina J. Harty, trainer of Back O' The Net, for an additional ten minutes to present her charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

D. Robinson, rider of Hastily (GB), trained by Tom McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount emptied quickly.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Moonlight Jazz (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that she dismounted as her mount was lame. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to be lame post race.

228B Noel O'Connell Memorial (M) H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed P.T. Smithers, rider of Bayou Belle, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P.T. Smithers was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.

228D1 Pat Farrell Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from R. K. Watson, trainer of Jimli's Cave, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Golden Glen, trained by Brendan Maurice Walsh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he pulled up after the line as his mount had sustained a cut to its leg.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from John C. McConnell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Walkonthebriteside, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. John C. McConnell reported that he couldn't find any reason for the poor run the last day. He further added that since he has been training him in the field which seems to have freshened him up. This may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

228E Traynors Of Wexford H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Thomas Gibney, trainer of Sammy Smart (GB), for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Moyvilla Lass, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its left fore post race.

D. Meyler, rider of Benz, trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he felt his mount went wrong behind. The IHRB Veterinary Officer subsequently confirmed the animal was lame behind post race.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Sullane Hill, trained by P.C.O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Sam Ewing, rider of Sharetheknowledge, trained by Paul Tobin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled and fell independently.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a two minute delay to races one and two and a one minute delay to races three to six.
