The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the straight involving Katherine, ridden by Mr H.E. Sexton, Sandymount Baby, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, Toucan Do, ridden by Niall Moore, Sefarina, ridden by J.J. Slevin, and Snow Lion, ridden by C.D. Maxwell where it appeared that there was interference through movement of some of the horses involved. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, J.J. Slevin stated that he rode wide throughout this race and on rounding the final bend, horses on his inner came outwards very quickly and made contact with his own mount. Niall Moore stated that the horse on his inner drifted outwards making contact with his own mount and this caused his mount to make contact with Sefarina on his outer. C.D. Maxwell stated that his mount got pushed out from the inner and caught a heel. Mr H.E. Sexton stated that his mount was going well when the horse in front of him stopped and he switched left to avoid catching a heel but his mount switched out when she saw daylight. S.F. O'Keeffe stated that he was following Russellsbelle into the straight and moved outwards to challenge but his mount ran a horses width wider off the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. They did, however, on hearing all the evidence, advise Niall Moore, J.J. Slevin, Mr H.E. Sexton and C.D. Maxwell concerning their responsibility to report at first instance anything that may have affected their horses performance in accordance with the provisions of Rule 213
