053A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) Beg S'chase
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Miss Manzor (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
P. Townend, rider of Miss Manzor (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
053B Pierce Molony Memorial Novice S'chase
The Raceday Stewards received a request from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Prairie Dancer, through his Authorised Representative Mr. Damien Byrne, to substitute the nominated rider A.P. Kelly, with J.J. Slevin, as his intended mount Fun Fun Fun owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede was withdrawn making Mr. O'Briens stable jockey available. Having considered the circumstances of Mr. Slevins riding arrangements, the Raceday Stewards allowed the request on this occasion as provided for under the provisions of Regulation 3.
053C Flexineb E3 H'cap S'chase
Owing to the drying conditions and prior to this race, the official going was changed to Good, Good to Yielding in places.
053D Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dle
N.J. Ryan, rider of Game On (GB), trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was a small bit hampered by the loose horse at the second last hurdle.
Niall Moore, rider of Mega Speculator (FR), trained by M.A. Gunn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by the loose horse at the second last hurdle.
P. Hanlon, rider of Tippinaway, trained by Eric Larkin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by the loose horse at the second last hurdle.
B.P. Kennedy, rider of Rinnaseer King, trained by Thomas P.O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly and was pulled up. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rinnaseer King at the request of the Raceday Stewards and was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.
053F Leugh H'cap H'dle
S.D. Torrens, rider of Gustavo Goodway, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered by the faller at the third last hurdle resulting in him being unseated.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Ms Claire O'Connell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Born Bright, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Fairyhouse on January 1st. Ms. Claire O'Connell stated her charge disappointed at Fairyhouse and that todays better ground may have contributed to the improved performance today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
053G www.thurlesraces.ie (P-Am) INH Flat Race
The Raceday Stewards fined Rodger Sweeney, trainer of Heslostthehunger, €130 for failing to declare to the authorities that his charge is now a gelding as required under the provisions of Rule 148(xii).
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the home turn involving Galileo Sand, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed third, Tim Toe, ridden by Mr D. Doyle, placed first, and Eagle Of Destiny, ridden by Mr B. O'Neill, placed second, where it appeared Galileo Sand momentarily ran wide into the racing line of Eagle Of Destiny. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
