The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the final fence involving Fountain House, ridden by Mr E. Mahon, placed first, and Eyes Off Annie, ridden by Miss M. O'Sullivan, placed third, where it appeared they came together in mid air. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Mr E. Mahon, rider of Fountain House, trained by Ian John McCarthy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he lost his left iron at the last fence on the first circuit for a couple of strides before regaining it.
103B Event Power Champion Hunters S'chaseMr B. O'Neill, rider of Big Interest, trained by D.M. Christie, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
Mr S. Connor, rider of Carnfunnock, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and sustained a bad over-reach.
Mr D. McGill, rider of Dorking Cock, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got very tired.
Mr E. Mahon, rider of Sheephaven Flyer, trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Big Interest, trained by D.M. Christie, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
103C Hanlon EBF Glencarraig Lady (M) S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from Mr. T. Gibney, trainer of Must Be Obeyed, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with Rule 90(i). The animal was subsequently withdrawn for failing to present.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the late arrival of D. Meyler, the declared rider of Broomfield Bijou, necessitating a change of rider. D. Meyler stated that the very heavy traffic caused long delays getting to the course today. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the explanation given.
S. Ewing, rider of Broomfield Bijou, trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
103D QuinnBet Novice H'cap S'chaseThe Raceday Stewards received a request from Mr. P.A. Fahy, trainer of Prince Palace, to substitute S. Ewing for H.A. Sexton who is currently stood down. Mr. P.A. Fahy stated that he was unable to find a suitable replacement claiming rider that could do the low weight. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the replacement on this occasion and took no further action.
A.P. Kelly, rider of Zenta (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump at the first fence and never travelled afterwards. The Raecday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied no further action was warranted.
S.W. Flanagan, rider of Black Bamboo, trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped deliberately.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning in involving Western Diego, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, and Lisnagar Fortune, ridden by D.E. Mullins, where it appeared they came very close together as Lisnangar Fortune passed Western Diego. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
103E Boodles Champion H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Constitution Hill (GB), trained by Nicky Henderson (in GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have grazes to his right hind cannon bone and to be sore post race.
J. Bowen, rider of Constitution Hill (GB), trained by Nicky Henderson (in GB), reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
103F Alanna Homes Champion Novice HdleThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the home bend involving Lovely Hurling, ridden by M.P. Walsh, and The Yellow Clay, ridden by Sam Ewing, where it appeared to briefly get tight for The Yellow Clay. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
103G Uniquely Novice H'dleThe Raceday Stewards received notification from Horse Racing Ireland that Khrisma will carry 10-12 (152) instead of 11-2 (159) in this race due to an administrative error at the entry stage.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Runcok (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of delayed recovery post race.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Between Friends, ridden by S.D. Torrens, and trained by E. Bolger. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. S.D. Torrens, stated that his instructions were to settle his mount in the second half of the field, get her jumping and to ride her to come home.He also stated that his mount was flat out most of the way and was only staying on past beaten horses. E. Bolger confirmed the instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given.
