Donoghue, rider, stated that his instructions were to follow the leaders. In the race his jumping was only ok and he was losing ground at his hurdles. Gavin Cromwell, trainer, confirmed the instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the ride given. He felt that the horse's jumping needs to improve. He had no fixed future plan for the horse. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that this horse was found to be coughing post race and had also lost a near fore shoe. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered.
