019F Albert Bartlett Qualifier H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Cave Court, ridden by Mr O. McGill, placed first, and Hartur D'arc (FR), ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed second, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. O. McGill said his mount idled in front and felt he did his best to correct his mounts drift. K.M. Donoghue said it got a little tight but he never had to stop riding. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. O. McGill had taken reasonable steps to avoid causing interference so they took no further action.
019G BetVictor (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Adiemus (GER), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed fourth, Champagne Jury, ridden by Mr D.G. Lavery, placed first, Jericho Du Fenoir (FR), ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed third, and The Night Agent, ridden by Mr R.W. Barron, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr P.W. Mullins said he angled out to go past a retreating horse and things got a bit tight. Mr D.G. Lavery said he kept a straight line but felt some pressure from the outside. Mr J.L. Gleeson said he received pressure as he was retreating. Mr R.W. Barron said he tried to keep a straight line at all times but that his mount did drift left for a few strides. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Jericho Du Fenoir (FR), trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount finished lame on its left hind. The I.H.R.B. Veterinary Officer subsequently confirmed the animal to be lame on its left hind.
