The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Moon Eclipse (off feed) - €200.

018A SBK H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Eoin Griffin, trainer, in relation to the late withdrawal of his charge Splashing Out in this race. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that having walked the track he found the ground unsuitable for his charge. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the trainer's explanation.

Owing to the low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fences six and seven to be omitted from this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ernie From Nurney, trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a right fore shoe in running but was otherwise post race normal.

018B Early Bird For Easter Festival Hcap S'ch

Owing to the low lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fences six and seven to be omitted from this race.

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Norman Lee, trainer of Made In The Woods and Eddies Pride, for an additional ten minutes to present his horses for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from J.P. Flavin, trainer of Bearwithmenow, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

T. Power Roche, rider of Dorans Law, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Made In The Woods, trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dorans Law, trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last involving Brandt, ridden by C.P. Millar, placed second, and One Horse Army, ridden by A.P. Kelly, placed first, where it appeared Brandt suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.P. Millar said that he was taken off his line and changed legs which cost him the winning of the race. A.P. Kelly said his mount idled after jumping the last and drifted slightly but he felt he was clear of the second horse when drifting. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while One Horse Army had caused interference to Brandt, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.

018C SBK Solerina (Mares) Novice H'dle

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident after jumping the second last involving Aurora Vega, ridden by P. Townend, placed first, and Dream On Baby, ridden by D. Meyler, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

018D SBK M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Ian Amond, Authorised Representative for Gordon Elliott, in relation to the late withdrawal St Cuthbert's Cave in this race. Ian Amond said that having walked the track and spoken with D.J. Gilligan they felt the ground was unsuitable for their charge. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the explanation.

018E CCR Raceday M'dn H'dle

P. Hanlon, rider of Catch Yourself On (USA), trained by Miss Tara Lee Cogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.P. Shinnick, rider of I Ballyadam Moon (FR), concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had exceeded the permitted number of strikes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record (first offence), they suspended him for two racedays.

018G SBK (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr D.L. Queally, rider of I'll Sort That, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he used his whip down the shoulder in the forehand position to try and correct his mount who was leaning. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards accepted the riders explanation and took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr H.C. Swan, rider of Theflyingking, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he used his whip down the shoulder in the forehand position to try and correct his mount who was leaning. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards accepted the riders explanation and took no further action.
