373C Punchestown Festival 2025 M'dn H'dleOwing to the low trajectory of the sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle number four to be omitted from this race
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Ballysax Hank, trained by Brendan W.Duke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left off the bend.
Anna McGuinness, rider of Tag Master, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount never travelled.
373D Buy Your Punchestown (M) Novice H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Anthony McCann, trainer of Rockstown Girl, in relation to his charge being late into the parade ring, without permission to do so, which meant she arrived at the start after the official off time. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that the tongue tie had come loose and had to be reapplied. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Anthony McCann was in breach of Rule 32 and having considered his record in this regard they cautioned him on this occasion.
373E Irish Stallion Owners EBF M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Port Joulain (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins was found to have sustained an over reach to its left fore post race.
P. Townend, rider of Port Joulain (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount over reached and was lame.
373F Members Club 2025 H'dleD.E. Mullins, rider of Got Glory (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.
373G1 See You On New Years Eve H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving John Storey, ridden by R.A. Berry, unplaced, and Perfect Pupil, ridden by Anna McGuinness, unplaced, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. A. Berry stated that the horse in front of him was moving out and he had to move out also. Anna McGuinness stated that she maintained her racing line and received pressure from her inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
M.P. O'Connor, rider of Doonbeg Don, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last.
373G2 See You On New Years Eve H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards granted a request from D. McNamara, trainer of Getaclan, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90
