The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

R.P.Burns, trainer of Snow Lotus, Valhalla's Dream and Midnight Treasure (transport difficulties) - €200.

143A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Ashwiyaa, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.

M. Mjoka, rider of Lough Lannagh, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped turning for home.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Zelestial (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was unbalanced on todays track.

143B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Sibyl Charm, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a false step one and a half furlong out.

143C Croom House Stud H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rathbranchurch, trained by Michael Mulvany, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, M.W Hassett, rider of Anann, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran around under pressure.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of The Snapper, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, R. P. Whelan stated that he was aware he was in breach of the whip rules and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.P.Whelan was in breach of R10.3(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended R.P. Whelan for three racedays.

143D Lane Family Memorial H'cap

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the road crossing in the back straight involving Puntastic, ridden by C.D. Hayes, and Custers Mistake, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, where it appeared that Custers Mistake got unbalanced after riding onto the heels of Puntastic. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Mephisto, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen early on.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Custers Mistake, trained by John F. O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got knocked down turning down the back straight.

143E Join The Listowel Races Club (C&G) M'dn

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.M. Sheridan, rider of Highland Rahy (USA), trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped quickly three and a half furlongs out.

S. Foley, rider of Autoline, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the starting stalls.

143F1 James Collins Memorial H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Princess Rajj, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

J.A. Powell, rider of Han Solo (GB), trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room after a furlong.

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Swiss Army Officer, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check off heels.

D. McMonagle, rider of What Adaay (GB), trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run at the bottom of the home straight and got unbalanced closer to the line at the time of the interference.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Swiss Army Officer, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, unplaced, Pink Socks, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed third, and What Adaay (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed sixth, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C. Stone-Walsh stated that he was dropping back when receiving pressure from his left. R.P. Whelan stated that he had to check off heels and edged slightly to the right. D. McMonagle stated that he drifted inwards slightly but felt he straightened his mount as quickly as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action. M.A. Cahill accompanied C. Stone-Walsh at this enquiry.

143G Acro Fire & Safety (QR) Race

Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Kendancer (FR), trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was flat out all the way throughout this race.
