The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Joseph G. Murphy, trainer of Water Mint (Ran recently) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Adam Caffrey rode Soyounique (reserve) trained by Ciaran Murphy (Race 3)

145A Winton (Fillies) M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Neowise (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never picked up in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Neowise (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Just Another Eagle, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. R. Donaghue-Leahy accepted she was in breach and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found R. Donaghue-Leahy in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and R.10.3(b)(unnecessary hitting a horse after its chance of winning or being placed are gone). Having considered her record in this regard, they cautioned her in respect of the breach of R10.3(i)and suspended her for one raceday in respect of the breach of R.10.3(b). She was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. P. Flynn.

145B Sonix Entertainment H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Final Voyage, trained by J.P. Murtagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

145C Good Enuf To Eat Apprentice H'cap

Cillian McConnell, rider of Together Aclaim (GB), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered after a furlong.

S.P. Bird, rider of Harbanaker, trained by Leanne Breen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room on the first bend.

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Plugged In, trained by J.T.Gorman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen throughout.

Kyanna Van Buuren, rider of Snowdonia Song, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that she had to take a slight check in the straight.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Soyounique, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered going into the first bend and never travelled after.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.D. Bowen, rider of Pinball Wizard, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. D. Bowen was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g)(excessive frequency). Having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards cautioned S. D. Bowen on this occasion. S. D. Bowen was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. James Carroll.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Pinball Wizard, ridden by S.D. Bowen, placed second, and Barnhill Rose (GB), ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, placed first, where it appeared they made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Siobhan Rutledge stated she felt her mount had kept a straight line and that she had received pressure from her left. S. D. Bowen stated that he felt that he had received pressure from his right close to the line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while the two horses came together it did not affect their finishing positions. Therefore they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted. S. D. Bowen was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. James Carroll.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Pinball Wizard, ridden by S.D. Bowen, placed second, and Snowdonia Song, ridden by Kyanna Van Buuren where it appeared Snowdonia Song had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Kyanna Van Buuren stated that she had to take a small check as Pinball Wizard crossed in front of her. S. D. Bowen stated that his mount was lairy and often wore blinkers and ran around a little. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found S. D. Bowen was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, in that he did not correct his mount quickly enough. Having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays days. S. D. Bowen was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. James Carroll.

The Raceday Stewards wished to enquire into an incident on the first bend involving Everyhouronthehour, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Together Aclaim (GB), ridden by Cillian McConnell, Harbanaker, ridden by S.P. Bird and Lauroline (GB), ridden by C. Geerdharry. Cillian McConnell had already left the racecourse so the Raceday Stewards referred the matter on to the Referrals Committee. .

145D Kings Of Ossory (C&G) M'dn

L.T. McAteer, rider of Sioux Eagle, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

145E Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auct Mdn

W.M. Lordan, rider of Savigny, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the straight.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Treasured Soul, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

S. Foley, rider of New Phenomenon, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check on the line.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Treasured Soul, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Dawn Session, ridden by R.P. Cleary, placed first, and New Phenomenon, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared S. Foley had to check close to the line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that his filly was running on late and he was unable to move outside R. P. Cleary because of other runners. He elected to go on the inside, but as there was insufficient room he had to check close to the line. R. P. Cleary stated that he felt he was running straight and was unaware of interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while S. Foley had to check close to the line there was no riding offence involved and therefore took no further action.

145F Ladies Day July 29th H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sir Antonino, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room across the top. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Atlantic Island, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Maralinga, trained by Timothy Doyle, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Secret Spy (GB), trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

145G Gowran Park Golf Club H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Snowhaven, ridden by S. Foley, who fell, and Stepdance, ridden by J. Kearney where it appeared Snowhaven clipped a heel and came down. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that Stepdance shifted left into his path and he clipped a heel when J. Kearney used his whip. J. Kearney stated that his mount shifted slightly when he used his whip and that he was not aware that Snowhaven was there. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Kearney, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended J. Kearney for six race days. J. Kearney was accompanied by Mr. Jack Madden at this enquiry. .

N.M. Crosse, rider of Silkies Sib, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the early stages.
