At the request of the Stewards, T.P. Madden, rider of Bellabel, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly into stride.
151B Limerick Racecourse Rated RaceD.P. McDonogh, rider of Larado (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room.
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Godhead (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, Mudawy, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed second and Larado (FR), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, where it appeared that Larado got tight for room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. T. Keane stated that he had to sit and wait for the gap. C. D. Hayes stated that his mount has a tendency to go right but felt he was well clear. D. P. McDonogh stated that he pulled his mount out thinking he was going to run a big race but his mount did not take him forward. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Parkers Hill, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were satisfied that S. Foley was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his previous record in this regard the Stewards suspended S. Foley for one raceday.
151C Limerick Racecourse H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Dragons Call, ridden by D. McMonagle, unplaced, Fit For Function (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed sixth and Amazing One (GB), ridden by W.M. Lordan, unplaced, where it appeared that Dragons Call drifted left across Fit For Function and Amazing One. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that his mount drifted right but felt he was clear. G. F. Carroll stated that he had to make a slight correction and it made no difference to him. W. M. Lordan stated that he was a length down, not going forward and it made no difference to his finishing position. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental and they took no further action.
C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Approachcautiously trained by P.F.O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls and was slowly away.
John Gerard Fitzgerald, trainer of Cyan Seize, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge had displaced it's palate.
151D Limerick Racecourse H'capS.T. McCullagh, rider of Golden Valour (GB) trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.
151E Limerick Racecourse H'capThe Stewards interviewed S.J. Cummins, rider of The Alpha Man, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that S. J. Cummins was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered S. J. Cummins record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
The Stewards requested a report from Seamus G. O'Donnell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of The Alpha Man, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. S. G. O'Donnell stated that the better ground today had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
151F Limerick Racecourse H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident just at the winning line involving French Rain, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed second and Dream Tale (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed first, where it appeared there was minor contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Mudlahhim trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped very slowly.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Getawiggleon (FR) trained by David J. Geary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked at the two furlong pole.
W.M. Lordan, rider of Imposing Supreme trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was checked at the two furlong pole.
The Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Geological, ridden by R.C. Colgan, unplaced, Getawiggleon (FR), ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed sixth and Imposing Supreme, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed fifth, where it appeared that Getawiggleon ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. C. Colgan stated that there was a small bump but he kept his racing line. G. M. Ryan stated that he ran short of room and had to check. W. M. Lordan stated that he was aware of the riders on his inner but felt he had sufficient room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards gave W. M. Lordan the benefit of the doubt, in that there was sufficient room when he went for the gap initially, and they took no further action. Furthermore, the Stewards reminded G. M. Ryan of his responsibility to attend at the first instance, when he required at an enquiry.
151G Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dnThe Stewards informed Michael Mulvany, trainer, that Barney Rubbles, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
D. McMonagle, rider of Punchy Fly (FR) trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very green.
At the request of the Stewards, S.M. Crosse, rider of Celestial Horizon, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was one paced and ran green.
151H Limerick Racecourse H'capJames J. Doyle, rider of Church Mountain trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
