The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

David Peter Nagle, trainer of Monatomic (Off feed) - €200

152A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) M'dn H'dle

B.R. Hamilton, trainer of Shady Katie, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel in running.

152B Toals Bookmakers Opp. H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Everlastingpromise (GB), trained by E. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.B. Kane, rider of Sam Lorenzo trained by W.J. Bryson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly throughout.

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan, that S.D. Torrens, rider of Everlastingpromise (GB), T. Ryan, rider of Top Line Tommy, J.B. Kane, rider of Sam Lorenzo, H. Morgan, rider of Alice O'Byrne, E. Walsh, rider of Futurum Regem, C.D. Timmons, rider of Itsalonglongroad (GB), R. Deegan, rider of Sweet Sixteen (GER), C.A. Landers, rider of Boherlug, J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Dasmyhoss, B. Browne, rider of Arctic Sofia and J.C. Gainford, rider of Shiroccoville had failed to comply with his instructions which resulted in false starts. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that all riders were in breach of Rule 208(iii)(a)(b) and Rule 208(v). Having taken each riders previous record into consideration, the Stewards in accordance with the provisions of Rule 208(vii) suspended T. Ryan, J.B. Kane, E. Walsh and C.D. Timmons for one raceday. They suspended S.D. Torrens, H. Morgan, R. Deegan, C.A. Landers, J.P. O'Sullivan and B. Browne for two racedays and suspended J.C. Gainford for three racedays.

152C(ii) Toals Bookmakers (QR) H'cap H'dle (Division Two)

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Humps And Bumps, ridden by Mr H.D. Dunne, and trained by Peter Croke where the rider appeared to stop riding before the winning post and may have lost sixth place. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr H.D. Dunne, stated that his mount had given everything and he sat up when passed by other better placed finishers. He admitted that he was unaware of Zambezir (Fr) being close when it passed his own mount close to the finish and he lost sixth place as a consequence. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr H.D. Dunne was in breach of Rule 212A(iv) by stopping riding and failing to obtain his best possible placing as a result. Having taken his previous clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr H.D. Dunne on this occasion.

152C1 Toals Bookmakers (QR) H'cap H'dle

A.J. McNamara, trainer of Peter's Pence, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to be lame post race.

152D Molson Coors Opportunity Beg. S'chase

H. Morgan, rider of Oryx Hustler trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Oryx Hustler, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his right fore post race.

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Wavelength (FR) trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount cocked its jaw and ran out at the third last fence.

152E Laffy H'cap S'chase

L.P. Dempsey, rider of Konitho (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Konitho (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

The Stewards requested a report from Padraig Roche, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Paris Texas (FR), placed first, as compared with its recent run at Wexford on the 16th May where he pulled up on soft ground. Padraig Roche reported that he was at a loss to explain the recent run at Wexford but noted that his charge won here at Downpatrick on his only previous run at this venue. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

152F Virtual Live Racing H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed H. Morgan, rider of Pat Coyne, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, H. Morgan stated that his charge was wearing cheek pieces but he looked at the stable yard when landing over the last fence and he gave him one flick for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that H. Morgan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended H. Morgan for three racedays.
