The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Oliver McKiernan, trainer of No Looking Back (temperature) - €200.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.M. O'Brien replaced C.M Hogan on Harsh (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 6)(stood down).

389A Grant Fit Out M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Argento Boy, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P. Townend, rider of Argento Boy, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and pulled up in the home straight.

Owing to the low trajectory of the sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle number one to be omitted from this race.

389C Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Paul John Gilligan, trainer of Sequestered, for an additional ten minutes to present his runner Sequestered for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

Owing to the low trajectory of the sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for fence number one to be omitted from this race

C.P. Millar, rider of Big Stage, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Big Stage, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a delayed recovery and to have mucus on the trachea following endoscopic examination.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the riders first approach to the starter prior to the flag being raised. Evidence was heard from The I.H.R.B Starter Mr. J.R. Banahan and the riders concerned. Mr. Banahan stated that the riders approached the start before being instructed to do so and before the flag was raised. Evidence was heard from J. Coen, A. Balfe, A.P. Kelly, J.G. Gilligan, P.M. O'Brien, C.P. Millar, R.J. Condon, O.R. Brown, P.T. Smithers, J. Smith, C.D Smithers, C. Stone-Walsh, S.D Greene, T. Power Roche, E.M. O'Sullivan and C.M. Quirke. All riders felt that they were not in breach but accepted that they were approaching the starter before the flag was raised. Having considered the matter The Raceday Stewards were satisfied that both T. Power Roche and C.M. Quirke were not in breach of Rule 208. They were however satisfied that J. Coen, A. Balfe, A.P. Kelly, J.G. Gilligan, P.M. O'Brien, R.J. Condon, O.R. Brown, P.T. Smithers, J. Smith, C.D Smithers, C. Stone-Walsh, S.D Greene and E.M. O'Sullivan were in breach of rule 208 (v)(b) and having considered their clean records in this regard they suspended each rider for one race day. Furthermore, they were satisfied that C.P. Millar was in breach of Rule 208(v)b) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for two race days. C.M Hogan rider of Harvey's Quay was unable to attend this enquiry as he was receiving medical attention and the Raceday Stewards referred C.M Hogan to the Referral's' Committee to consider whether a breach of Rule 208 had occurred in accordance with Rule 14.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jouster (FR), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a delayed recovery post race.

C.M. Quirke, rider of Secrecies Of Stone, trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the back of the second last.

C.P. Millar, rider of Big Stage, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

389D Neville Hotels H'dle

P. Townend, rider of State Man (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined State Man (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

389E Neville Hotels Premier H'cap H'dle

M.M. McDonagh, rider of Any Road, trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was reluctant to race.

J.G. Gilligan, rider of Kings Hill, trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Al Gasparo (FR), placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Gavin Cromwell stated that his charge did not stay three miles last time out and the drop back in trip had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

389F SIS Irish EBF Novice H'cap H'dle

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Fenway Park, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the first, bad mistake at the second last and pulled up.
