A.J. Slattery, rider of Zaraahmando, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran freely.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident down the back straight involving Shocker, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth, and Zaraahmando, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, where it appeared Zaraahmando was running freely and had to switch off heels causing Shocker to receive a bump. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
246B Tote.ie Rated RaceThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Monasterboice, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first, and Four Blondes, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared both horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
246C Irish EBF Vincent O'Brien Ruby StakesN.M. Crosse, rider of Concluding Call, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump turning in.
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Princess Child (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was interfered with turning in. Having viewed a recording of the incident, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
246D(i) GAIN The Advantage Series H'cap (Division One)The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Tom Gibney, Trainer of Drop The Dip, for an additional 10 minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i). Drop The Dip was withdrawn by Order of the Stewards for failing to present on time.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Church Mountain, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, and Thrifty Of Digby, ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth, where it appeared Church Mountain clipped a heel and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that his mount had run his race and he was trying to take back as he was aware of Thrifty Of Digby moving across in front of him. S. Foley stated that he gave his mount a reminder and she darted left without any warning. He further added that he felt he made every effort to correct his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that S. Foley, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 4 racedays. Ms. Kate Horgan recused herself from this enquiry, Mr. R.E. Rohan acted as Chairman.
M.W Hassett, rider of Spring Collection (GB), trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed D P Coakley, trainer, in relation to his charge leaving the parade ring before the bell had been signalled for the riders to mount. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he was unaware that a slight delay had been announced and explained his charge was getting worked up so he legged up his rider for safety reasons . Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise Mr. Coakley of his responsibilities to seek permission in this regard.
246D(ii) GAIN The Advantage Series H'cap (Division Two)The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Tom Gibney, trainer of Star Of Atlantis, for an additional 10 minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i). Star Of Atlantis was withdrawn by Order of The Stewards for failing to present on time.
M.W Hassett, rider of Speckled Meadow, trained by Don Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.
246D2 GAIN The Advantage Series H'capGillian Scott, trainer of Relevant Range, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that her charge was scoped post race and was found it have much on its lungs.
246E Kellihers Toyota Kingdom Gold Cup H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the back straight involving Vera Verto, ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed second, Intellotto, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed sixth and Man O Work, ridden by C.D. Hayes placed fifth where it appeared it got tight for a couple of strides. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that he rounded the bend well and felt he did not contribute to any incident. C.D. Hayes stated that it got slightly tight for a stride but felt he did not suffer any interference. G.F. Carroll stated that he felt a bit of pressure from his inside and was suprised to see a horses head there so he edged out leaving room for Man O Work. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
S. Foley, rider of Taipan (FR), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the bends and became unbalanced around them.
S.T. McCullagh, rider of The Very Man, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
The Raceday Stewards fined Adrian McGuinness, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared tongue strap to Golden Twilight, prior to entering the parade ring.
246G Tote, Never Beaten By SP (QR) RaceMs M. Kelly, rider of Supreme Law, trained by D.J. Bunyan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount ran free.
