The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Enchanted Garden, trained by Anthony Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the start of this race involving Land Lover (GB), ridden by D.S. O'Sullivan, placed fourth, where it appeared the horse may have struck the gates. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Land Lover had struck the gates after the gates had started to open and took no further action.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Enchanted Garden, trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung up the straight.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Eddie G, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked right coming out of the stalls.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Badda Bing, trained by Josh Halley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran free on the way to the start and hung right throughout.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the late arrival of Kansai to the start having been trotted all the way down and contributed to a three minute delay to the start of this race. Evidence was heard from the trainers Authorised Representative, Siobhan O'Callaghan and D. McMonagle. Siobhan O'Callaghan stated that that this horse can be a difficult individual. D. McMonagle stated that this is a tricky horse and as he was cantering to the start his mount went right and ended up on the ambulance track. He further added that he trotted to the start for safety purposes. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards reminded both the rider and trainer through his Authorised Representative of their obligation to have the horse on time down to the start in future.

Anthony Mullins, trainer of Enchanted Garden, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge scoped badly.

244D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Vinnie Roe Stks

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Chemistry, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed second, and Kinesiology (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.P. McDonogh stated that his mount was rallying when he received two severe bumps which knocked his momentum. He further added that he felt this interference had cost him the winning of the race. S. Foley accepted that his mount had shifted left while idling in front but was of the opinion that Chemistry had come out to meet him also causing the incident to look worse. He concluded by stating that although the winning margin was only a neck, his mount won comfortably. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Kinesiology had caused interference to Chemistry and as a result of this interference had improved it’s finishing position. As a consequence, the Raceday Stewards reversed the placings of the first and second positions and amended the result to read as follows:

Amended Result:
First: Chemistry
Second: Kinesiology
Third: Barnso
Fourth: Aeronautic
Fifth: Lady Doris
Sixth: Birdman

Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards accepted S. Foley's evidence that his mount was a difficult ride and were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred so therefore took no further action.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Chemistry, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference in the closing stages and got a severe bump.

S. Foley, rider of Kinesiology (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around when he hit the front.

J.A. Powell, rider of Pearl Of Australia, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly throughout.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Alabama Calling, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen down the back straight.

Gerard Keane, trainer of Beauparc, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge scoped badly.

244G Dublin To Bahrain (Fillies) H'cap

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approximately two furlongs from home involving Vivienda (GB), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed second, and Evening Blossom, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, where it appeared Evening Blossom angled out off the railing. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
