R. Whearty, rider of Serotonin (GB), trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

W.J. Lee, rider of Gosford, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

M.W Hassett, rider of Von Krolock, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Summer Snow, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at Cork on the 21st of May. M.D. O'Callaghan reported that todays track suited and his charge was in much better form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

408C Gowran Park Golf Club Claiming Race

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. A. O'Keefe, that L.F. Roche, rider of Dromore Glory had weighed in 1.2 Ibs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had to change the colours he was wearing and this may explain the discrepancy in weight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that L.F. Roche was in breach of Rule 231(iii) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), they cautioned him on this occasion.

S. Foley, rider of Magical Bay, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left in the straight.

408E GowranPark.ie M'dn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of No Knee Never, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to steady in the straight.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Zoffany Gold, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running and didn't handle the ground.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Frontier Heroine, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly leaving the gates.

S. Foley, rider of Striking (FR), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled left in the straight.
