The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Andrew Kinirons, trainer of Chillbilly, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

N.M. Crosse, rider of Moores Call, trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right in the straight.

S. Foley, rider of Turners Cross, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a little tight on the inside.

153B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med. Auct. Race

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Tango Flare, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount drifted right under pressure.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Tango Flare, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race where it appeared J.A. Heffernan used his whip down the shoulder in the forehand position. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was aware of his mount drifting and the horses on his inside so he used his whip for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted his evidence and took no further action.

153C Tote H'cap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Current Option, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Adrian McGuinness reported that his charge got upset in the stalls the last day, was caught out wide and raced too keen throughout. He further added that today his charge settled much better. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Current Option, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the last two furlongs.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from home involving Tough Talk, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth, Lexington Dash (FR), ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, placed third, and Desert Haven (GB), ridden by R. Whearty, unplaced, where it appeared Lexington Dash got tight for room on the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Siobhan Rutledge stated that she committed to the gap up the rail and it just got tight momentarily. She further added that she let a shout and the gap opened back up. R. Whearty stated that once he heard the shout he corrected his mount as best he could. C.T. Keane stated that he kept a straight line the whole way up the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. Mr. M.C. Hickey recused himself from this enquiry and was replaced as Chairman by Mr. Charles Cunningham.

153E Tote M'dn

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Highland Bling, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. Foley was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Teofimo, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount rolled around when he hit the front.

153G1 Dino Day On 10th July H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Tasayad, trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped slowly and never let himself down on the ground.

L.F. Roche, rider of Ifitwasme, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the last two furlongs.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tasayad, trained by Gerard O'Leary, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.J. Slattery, rider of Elsa's Pride, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A.J. Slattery was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Tara Power, trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had loads of room around the first bend but was running keen and just ran up on heels.
