153A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Green Soul, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left and he had to correct him.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.P. McDonogh, rider of Green Soul, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was being intimidated by Frescobaldi and that he had to use his stick for corrective purposes to maintain his line. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards accepted that one strike was for corrective purposes and that no further action was warranted.

M. Crehan, rider of Frescobaldi, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left the whole way up the straight.

M.W Hassett, rider of Clarity Of Thought (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in the straight.

Ms. K. Harrington, Authorised Representative of Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Second Line, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge scoped badly post race.

S. Foley, rider of Second Line, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and never finished.

153B CPAC Modular M'dn

Prior to the running of race two, the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Course changed the official going to good.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hostility, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

153C Fairy Nights H'cap

J.A. Powell, rider of Sir Jeremy, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run up the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Roosevelt (GB), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sir Jeremy, placed second, as compared with its recent form. Adrian McGuinness stated that the drop in weight and the kinder ground today may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.

153E Dino Day 9th July H'cap

Adam Caffrey, rider of Distillate (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running.

P. McGettigan, rider of Hezahunk, trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at approximately the two forlong pole involving Mark's One, ridden by J. Cleary, placed fourth, Hezahunk, ridden by P. McGettigan, unplaced and American In Paris, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, where it appeared horses came together. Evidence was heard from the rider's concerned. J. Cleary stated that he took back for a stride to avoid contact and went for a gap when clear. P. McGettigan stated that his mount had hung badly right and that he had made every attempt to straighten up. J.M. Sheridan stated that his mount had run flat and over exaggerated when things became tight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Nicola Burns, rider of Hastily (GB), trained by Tom McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that she had no luck in running. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards accepted the rider’s explanation and took no further action.

153F Fairyhouse For BBQs M'dn

G.M. Ryan, rider of Happy Pharoah, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount became upset in the stalls.

153G1 Racing Again Next Friday H'cap

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Don't Look Now, trained by Shane Crawley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't jump out.

W. Joyce, rider of Onemorestar, trained by J.Motherway, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount took a false step. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed W. Joyce, rider of Onemorestar, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount had stumbled but was till running on. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that W. Joyce was in breach of R.10.3(b)(unnecessary use when out of contention) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards advised Shane Crawley, trainer of Don't Look Now, that a repeat performance from his charge who refused to race, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future.

153G2 Racing Again Next Friday H'cap

L.F. Roche, rider of Prom Queen, trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung severely left throughout.

S. Foley, rider of Chopsticks, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount wasn't able to sprint in the straight.

Prior to the meeting, the Raceday Stewards approved a request from Clerk of the Course, Mr. B. Sheridan, to amend the distance of races six, seven and eight to one mile, one furlong and one hundred and ninety yards, due to operational reasons.
