152A Bulmers Light M'dn H'dle

In accordance with the provisions of Rule 194(ii), the Raceday Stewards granted permission to Eoin Doyle, trainer of Yosemite Gold to run his charge without the declared tongue tie, as the animal resisted its application.

The Raceday Stewards granted permission for Maybe Someday to run in accordance with the provision of Rule 90(v) as positive identification can be made but there are discrepancies in the markings as recorded in the Passport. The Trainer shall have (30) days to update the passport to the satisfaction of an IHRB Veterinary Officer/Assistant.

J. Coen, rider of Power Of Words, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount tried to run off the bend passed the stands.

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Tommy Go Maith, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident between the second last and last hurdle on the first circuit involving Temple City (GB), ridden by M.M. McDonagh, Yosemite Gold (GB), ridden by H. Morgan, and Bhean Saibhre, ridden by C.D Smithers, where it appeared the horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

152B Bulmers Original H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Popova, ridden by M.P. O'Connor, placed third, My Gaffer, ridden by L.A. McKenna, placed second, and Oh So Charming (GB), ridden by P.M. O'Brien, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.M. O'Brien stated that he received contact from his inside. M.P. O'Connor stated that he received contact from his inside which he felt cost him a place. L.A. McKenna stated that his mount tried to go for the yard but felt he had corrected it immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while My Gaffer had caused slight interference to Popova, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that L.A. McKenna was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

The Raceday Stewards wished to interview F. Brickley, rider of Fils d'Oudairies, involving the riders first approach to the Starter. However as he had left the racecourse prior to ten minutes after the winner alright had been announced as required under Rule 229(v), the Raceday Stewards referred F. Brickley to the Referrals Commitee to consider whether a breach of Rule 208 or 229 had occurred.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Popova, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried wide up the straight.

P.M. O'Brien, rider of Oh So Charming (GB), trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried left.

152D Slan Abhaile (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the downhill run on the first circuit involving Kalgoorlie Gold, ridden by Miss H. Heffernan, where it appeared Kalgoorlie Gold clipped a heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the bend turning into the home straight involving Mary Mammon, ridden by Mr M.J. Kenneally, where it he briefly ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Mr Alan O'Sullivan, rider of Flip Away, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung off the bend passed the stands.

152E Bulmers Zero H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards fined John Patrick Ryan, trainer, €65, for failing to fit a tongue tie to Smallcraftwarning, prior to entering the parade ring.

152F Bulmers Original H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jigoro (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

152G Clonmel Show Sunday July 6th H'cap H'dle

Peter Fahey, trainer of Avalo, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge pulled a shoe in running.
