Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a two minute delay to this race.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Postileo, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a graze on its left hind fetlock but was otherwise found to be post race normal.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Harmonya Maker (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Eoin Doyle, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Ardera Ru, placed first, as compared to its previous run at Gowran Park on the 17th of February when pulling up. The trainers Authorised Representative, Micheal T. Moran, reported that Ardera Ru had her palate cauterised since its previous run and this may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Queen Jane, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Ardera Ru trained by Eoin Doyle was found to have a trickle of blood on its right nostril post race.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Read To Return, trained by A.J. Martin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be suffering from delayed recovery post race.

Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of Read To Return, trained by A.J. Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount jumped badly and hung right.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Built By Ballymore, trained by Martin Brassil, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be suffering from delayed recovery post race.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Comfort Zone, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Penelope's Charm, trained by Daniel William O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned a little left throughout.
