The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

L.F. Roche replaced G.M. Ryan on Free Solo, trained by P.J.F. Murphy (Race 5)(stewards permission)

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident early in the home straight involving Higher Kingdom (GB), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed sixth, and Half Nutz, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed third, where it appeared J.A. Powell had to sit for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Fly To Glory, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

R. Whearty, rider of Cross Border (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung very badly right throughout.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fly To Glory, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a small amount of blood at its left nostril which appears to be due to a cut but was otherwise post race normal.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Wellwhatshappenin, trained by Patrick Joseph Hayes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran free.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Movin And Groovin, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran up on heels towards the end of the backstraight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

023C Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med Auct. M'dn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lady Plimsoll, trained by John S. O'Donoghue, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right hind post race.

L.F. Roche, rider of Athlumney Warrior, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was struck into from behind.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Cooee Call, trained by Ms Claire O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight early on.

R.M Mulligan, rider of Lady Plimsoll, trained by John S. O'Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

J.A. Powell, rider of Madam Zen, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Shamanka, trained by Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the gates.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Umala, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure after a furlong and couldn't hold his position.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tribal Moon, trained by Daniel James Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cousin Shay (GB), trained by Natalia Lupini, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J. Cleary, rider of Zipster, trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Tribal Moon, trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

023F Friday Nights At Dundalk Rated Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A. Powell, rider of Golden Temple, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and stated that his mount was responding. He further added he was doing his best to keep straight as his mount was drifting right the whole way up the straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.A. Powell was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Polemon (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Mo Ghille Mar, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Raceday Stewards fined Patrick Joseph Hayes, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared cheekpieces to Wayside Lady, prior to entering the parade ring.
