The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.A Doyle replaced D. Meyler on Kalu Pande, trained by Denis Leahy (Race 1)(injured)
M.J.M O'Sullivan replaced D. Meyler on Anyway (GER), trained by David Kenneth Budds (Race 2)(injured)
K.C Sexton replaced D. Meyler on Glendars Mahler, trained by James Andrew Fahey (Race 4)(injured)

249A A J C Group M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fortuna Favente, trained by Barry Connell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

M.J.M O'Sullivan, rider of Fortuna Favente, trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

249B Philip McBurney Racing H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the withdrawal of Karloss trained by Mr. C. Byrnes. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. In his evidence Mr. C. Byrnes stated that Karloss slipped in the trailer and sweated up on route to today's fixture so he felt it was in his best interest to be withdrawn. He further stated that the owners of Karloss were traveling behind him so they brought Karloss back to his yard and that is why he did not arrive at races with his other runners. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards referred the matter on to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.

K.E Buckley, rider of Across The Ocean, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel after the first hurdle.

The Raceday Stewards fined T.Shanahan, trainer, €65 for failing fit the declared check pieces to Charle Brune (FR), prior to entering the parade ring.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed the unseating of K.E Buckley, ridder of Across The Ocean, after the first hurdle. Having considered the matter and viewed a recording of the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of Anyway (GER), trained by David Kenneth Budds, placed, first compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned and The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Handicapper Mr. A. Shaw. Mr A. Shaw stated that today's winning performance marked a significant improvement on Anyway's (GER) previous form including his last run when beaten forty six lengths in Punchestown. David Kenneth Budds stated that he gave Anyway(GER) a break after his last run and that he is a lazy horse who benefited from the application of cheek pieces today. On further questioning he stated that he has the horse more than eight months, that he is owned by his father Mr. P. Budds and that they bought the horse from Mr. C. Byrnes. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards referred the matter on to a Senior Racing official for further investigation.

249C Ulster Carpets M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Meadow Soprano (DEN) trained by John C. McConnell had blood at both nostrils post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Rust To Riches trained by Neill McCluskey had blood at both nostrils post race.

B.W. Harvey, rider of Meadow Soprano (DEN), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, K.C. Sexton, rider of Knockaneleigh Girl, trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount can be very keen and he rode her to settle and come home well.

249D Randox H'cap H'dle

K.C. Sexton, rider of Glendars Mahler, trained by James Andrew Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

J.C. Gainford, rider of Paidi's Passion, trained by D.M. Christie, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled coming off the road crossing.

Ms.M.Flynn, trainer of Porky Rush, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge was lame post race.

249E Dennison Commercials Opp. Beg. S'ch

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Gentleman Joe (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount went to run out at the third fence and caught the wing.

249F Dennison JCB H'cap S'chase

P. Byrnes, rider of I Am Spider Man, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped badly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined I Am Spider Man, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Raceday Stewards fined Neill McCluskey, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared blinkers to Monoxide (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.
