111B Davidson McDonnell H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined C'est Quelqu'un (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kilbrin Rocco, trained by Michael Winters, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of delayed recovery post race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Quite Incredible, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Dermot Anthony McLoughlin stated that the application of first time cheekpieces and the better ground today may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

111C Gerry Hannity Memorial M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the turn for home involving Gone For Tea, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed third, and Step Out, ridden by J.J. Slevin, placed second, where it appeared Gone For Tea got tight for room momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

111D ITBA Northern Region Award (M) Hcap Hdle

R.A. Doyle, rider of Magic Olinger, trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Mayos Vendangeur, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a false step and came down.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.C. Gainford, rider of Mullins Cross, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hit the railing independently of any other horse.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magic Olinger, trained by Gerard Keane, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of delayed recovery post race.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from C.Byrnes, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Redwood Queen, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. C. Byrnes reported that his charge ran flat the last day and was freshened up following a break which may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given.

111E Paddy Madine, Tareesh Mem H'cap S'chase

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P.T. Enright, rider of One And Only, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was having his first run over fences and stayed on.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined One And Only, trained by Oliver McKiernan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right hind and to have pulled its left hind shoe post race.

111F Joe Rea Memorial H'cap S'chase

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Peter McCreery, trainer of Ocodango Boy for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr O. McGill, rider of Gladiatorial, trained by Noel C. Kelly, concerning the fact that he stopped riding close to the line. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount had run its race and had no more to give. He further added his mount made a noise so he stopped riding and he was unaware of the horse behind him. Having viewed the recording of the finish and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards gave Mr O. McGill the benefit of the doubt on this occasion and took no further action other than to remind him of his obligation to report anything that effects the running of his mount.
