The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference at the last hurdle involving Cast A Spell, ridden by D. Meyler, placed second, and Jolie Jewel (FR), ridden by P.T. Enright, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Meyler stated that he received a little bump but it did not affect him. P.T. Enright stated that his mount had a look at the last and went left at it. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Jolie Jewel had caused interference to Cast A Spell, she did not improve her finishing position as a result of this interference. Therefore, no alteration was made to the Judge’s placings and no further action was taken.
