N.M. Crosse, rider of Shoebox King, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running and got tight for room early on.
M.W Hassett, rider of Below Deck, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received pressure after half a furlong from the outside.
J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Inishmot Prince, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount recieved pressure from two furlongs down.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident before the mid point of this race involving Inishmot Prince, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, Bold Optimist, ridden by O. McSweeney, Keke (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, Senado Square (GB), ridden by C. Horgan, Shoebox King, ridden by N.M. Crosse, and Below Deck, ridden by M.W Hassett, where it appeared that Shoebox King struck the running rail after running short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he was slowly into stride and was in a gap before it got tight for room and clipped a heel. O. McSweeney stated that he tried to bring his mount over and felt he had not contributed to the incident. W.J. Lee stated that he kept straight all the way and he had to come off heels. C. Horgan stated that he was slowly into stride and got tight for room. M.W. Hassett stated that he received a bump and had no where to go. N.M. Crosse stated that his mount got tight for room and clipped the railing. He concluded by stating that the incident was a result of the lay out of the track. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that O. McSweeney was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays. In arriving at their decision, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the layout of the track had not contributed to the incident as it occurred some time after all horses had past the point where the track narrowed.
114C Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dnW.J. Lee, rider of Limit Off, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left from the half way point.
114D TRM Kurasyn H'capL.T. McAteer, rider of Cash Or Crypto, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood in the stalls and refused to race.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed David Marnane, trainer of Cash Or Crypto, concerning the conduct of this horse who stood in the stalls and refused to race. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who expressed his disappointment with the conduct of his charge on this occasion. He confirmed the animals previous record which included a suspension for similar behaviour, but outlined the efforts he has made to address the issue and asked for another chance as the animal had plenty of ability and broke very well from the stalls on its previous four occasions. Having considered the matter and the evidence of the trainer, the Raceday Stewards suspended Cash Or Crypto for 30days in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14(iii).
A.J. Slattery, rider of Mount Ruapehu, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the stalls.
114E Declan Landy Fencing H'capD. McMonagle, rider of Ohailbhic, trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no luck in running.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Perfect Judgement, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond, unplaced, Port Louis, ridden by R. Whearty, unplaced, and Verified, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, unplaced where it appeared that Verified ran short of racing room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.J. MacRedmond stated that he was outpaced at the time of the incident, but felt he had kept his racing line. R. Whearty stated that he did not contribute to the incident. N.G. McCullagh stated that he was travelling very well and never had a gap and concluded by stating that the incident was just unfortunate. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
N.G. McCullagh, rider of Verified, trained by Charles Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was unlucky in running.
114F Al Shira'aa Irish EBF Jannah Rose StakesC.T. Keane, rider of Madam Celeste, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount caught a ridge and stumbled. The Raceday Stewards reviewed this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
114G ALTO EQUINE Building Solution Rated RaceC.T. Keane, rider of Messerschmitt, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right up the straight.
W.M. Lordan, rider of Old Faithful (FR), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around when it hit the front.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident the closing stages involving Messerschmitt, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed third, Old Faithful (FR), ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed first, and Naturally Nimble (GER), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed fourth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.T. Keane stated that his mount ran green, rolled around a little and was unable hold his position. D. McMonagle stated that he took a gap when it opened and felt the winner had rolled slightly despite the best efforts of the rider. W.M. Lordan stated that his mount has a history of rolling around which he why he did not use his whip. He concluded by stating that he made every effort to keep his mount straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
