112A Irish EBF Auction Series M'dn

A.J. Slattery, rider of Powerful Nation, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount became upset in the stalls and hung right inside the final furlong.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Alcedo Atthis, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slightly hampered inside the last furlong.

S. Foley, rider of Rock N Roll Rocket, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left in the closing stages.

W. Joyce, rider of Boyne Valley, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Powerful Lady (FR), trained by Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green inside the final furlong and leaned left.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Powerful Nation, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed second, and Alcedo Atthis, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, where it appeared that Alcedo Atthis suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.P. McDonogh stated that his mount suffered interference when the horse in front of him moved slightly right. A.J. Slattery stated that his mount was having its first run, ran very green and hung right in the closing stages. He concluded by stating that he had corrected his mount as quickly as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A.J. Slattery had taken reasonable steps to avoid causing interference and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D. McMonagle, rider of Barton Key, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had run in the closing stages of this race.

112B Goffs Irish EBF Polonia Stakes

N.M. Crosse, rider of Bella Colombia, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was a little tight for room inside the first furlong.

W.J. Lee, rider of Heart Of Darkness (GB), trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room after half a furlong.

S. Foley, rider of Matter Of Fact, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left out of the stalls.

112D Mallow H'cap

N.M. Crosse, rider of All Lies Ahead, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Rahmi, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, placed second, Current Option, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fourth, and Tosen Wish, ridden by R.P. Whelan placed fifth where it appeared that Tosen Wish ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that he was out paced and lost his position as a result. J.A. Powell stated that his mount hung right despite his best efforts and he felt Rahmi was clear of him when drifting. D.E. Sheehy stated that his mount drifted right when running in open space but felt he was clear and did not cause interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

N.M. Crosse, rider of All Lies Ahead, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

112E Racing Again Tomorrow Apprentice H'cap

J. Kearney, rider of Mr King, trained by G.M. Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned a bit right in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving La Tulipe Noire, ridden by C. Horgan, Sirjack Thomas, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Starting Monday, ridden by P.A. Harnett, and Andalusian Star, ridden by M.W. Hassett where it appeared that Andalusian Star ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Horgan stated that he was slowly into stride along with others and took back after becoming tight for room. Adam Caffrey stated that he was tight for room from both sides. P.A. Harnett stated that he received pressure from both sides and felt four horses ended up where there was room for three. M.W. Hassett stated that his mount jumped left out of the stalls and was initially slow to pick up and when he encouraged his mount, it over reacted by picking up the bit and taking off. He said his mount was very scatty at this stage and caused things to become tight before striking the railing a few strides later while still running free. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to advise M.W. Hassett to be mindful of how green animals can react to his signals and how quickly incidents can happen as a result.

M.W. Hassett, rider of Andalusian Star, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room early in the race.

112F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) M'dn

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Kinesiology (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed first, and Ozark Daze (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, where it appeared that contact was made between both horses. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

112G Irish EBF SpringSeries Med. Auc. (F) Mdn

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Nativity Square, trained by J.S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take off heels on the first bend.

L.F. Roche, rider of Wing Glider, trained by Richard Brabazon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran flat.

S.B. Kelly, rider of Declaree, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he used his whip down the shoulder in the forehand position for corrective purposes. The Raceday Stewards had reviewed this action with the whip and were satisfied that the action of the rider was corrective and therefore took no further action.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the first bend involving Luxurious Princess, ridden by J. Cleary and Pearl Jewel, ridden by R.C. Colgan, where it appeared that Pearl Jewel clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.C. Colgan stated that Luxurious Princess was running freely and left him short of room and he clipped a heel as a result. J. Cleary stated that his mount was running freely and caused interference when he went in front. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Cleary was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding). Having considered his clean record in this regard and using their discretion, the Raceday Stewards suspended J. Cleary for one raceday.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Granite Bay (GB), trained by Jarlath P. Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went left under pressure.
