The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.A. Powell rode Churchmouse (reserve) trained by Luke Comer (Race 7)

404B Thomastown H'cap

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Lorr's Girl, trained by Rodger Sweeney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left on the ground.

404C Goresbridge H'cap

Adam Caffrey, rider of Cage Rattler, trained by John Andrew Kinsella, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left inside the last furlong.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight involving Manhattan Dandy, ridden by R. Whearty, placed third, Hope And Innocence, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed fourth, Cage Rattler, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed first, and Bellick (GB), ridden by Siobhan Rutledge, placed sixth, where it appeared that when Cage Rattler hung left he briefly tightened up runners behind . Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

404D Golf At Gowran Park Claiming Race

M.W Hassett, rider of Go Girl Go, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Dynamite Defense, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green in the straight.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of The Expert (GB), trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

R. Whearty, rider of Judicial Reward, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sylkie (GB), trained by J.A.Stack, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Nigel Thomas Slevin, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of King Of The Bronx, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Nigel Thomas Slevin, Trainer, stated that he was unable to offer any real reason for the improvement in form only that the drop in grade from a Curragh maiden to a claimer today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.

404E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

M.W Hassett, rider of Simply Sideways, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around when she hit the front.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Belles Feuilles (FR), trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Belles Feuilles (FR), trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran with a high head carraige and moved poorly throughout.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr. T.V. O'Connell, Starter, in relation to a false start of this race. Evidence was heard from Mr. O'Connell, who stated that his finger slipped off the starting mechanism button when he attempted to start the race. He further stated that some horses had struck the gates and gone backwards and for this reason he felt it was in order to immediately call a false start. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that in the circumstances the correct course of action was taken and that no further action was warranted.
