135D Lanwades Stud Stakes

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Girl Racer, ridden by B.M. Coen, unplaced, and Rogue Millennium, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed third, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.M. Coen said his mount was leaning left away from the rail so there was a small gap on his inside. D. McMonagle said a gap came on the inside and when he got into the gap it got marginally tight but felt he did not interfere with Girl Racer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found D. McMonagle was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

135F Heider Family Stables Gallinule Stakes

R.C. Colgan, rider of Vestigia, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped four furlongs out.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the late arrival of Mundi, trained by A.P. O'Brien, into the parade ring after the signal to mount was given. Chris Armstrong, Authorised Representative, stated with the 30 minute gap from Race 5 to Race 6 and the fact that they had three horses to saddle meant they were under pressure to get them all tacked up and present in the ring. He further added that they had four horses in the previous race so this added to the issue. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the explanation but reminded A.P. O'Brien through his representative of his obligations under Rule 32.

135G Revamp Conservation Irish EBF (F) M'dn
