The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.A. Doyle rode Foxy Rock (reserve) trained by M.F.Morris (Race 2)
S.F. O'Keeffe rode Donegal Danny (reserve) trained by Michael J. McDonagh (Race 2)

136A McHale Pro Glide H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.B. Foley, rider of Fascile Mode, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J.B. Foley accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.B. Foley was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard(first offence), they suspended him for one raceday.

K. Callaghan, rider of Winter Fog, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second last.

136B McHale Fusion 4 Range M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of John Storey, ridden by R. Deegan, and trained by Liam P Cusack. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. R. Deegan, stated that his instructions were to jump off mid division and get his mount into a rhythm. He further added that from three out the pace quickened and he struggled to go with them. Liam P Cusack, confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride and how his charge performed. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that John Storey was found to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Foxy Rock, trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last.

A. McCurtin, rider of Ontheblind, trained by John F. O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

136C McHale Mayo H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Toto Too trained by Gavin Cromwell was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that West Is Awake trained by Edward Cawley was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Cato's Revenge, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the second last.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Toto Too trained by Gavin Cromwell was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that West Is Awake trained by Edward Cawley was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

136D McHale Tiger Roll Beginners S'chase

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Hypotenus (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made mistakes at the last two fences.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Mighty Tom trained by Cian Collins was found to have blood at both nostrils post race.

136E McHale Mayo National H'cap S'chase

K. Callaghan, rider of We'llhavewan, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount weakened quickly.

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Romeo Magico, trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount pulled up injured.

136G McHale Orbital INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr L.T. Turner, rider of Izoom, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr L.T. Turner accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr L.T. Turner was in breach of R.10.3(b) by using his whip unnecessarily when his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard(second offence under Regulation 10), they suspended him for four racedays.

Paul Tobin, trainer of Absolute Bliss (GB), reported to the Office of the IHRB on 28/05/2024 that his charge was showing signs of being in season post race.
