The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Go Frankie, trained by Peter Croke, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
206D RBC Brewin Dolphin Rated Novice H'dleThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately four furlongs from home involving Valsorpresa (GB), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, unplaced, If Any Man Can, ridden by L. Quinlan, unplaced, and Andyourbirdcansing, ridden by S. Fitzgerald, placed third, where it appeared numerous horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L. Quinlan stated that he held his line and felt pressure from his inside. S. Fitzgerald stated that a gap appeared as there was no railing at this point of the track and he went for it. J.W. Kennedy stated that it got tight due to the layout of the track and he ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Valsorpresa (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
206F1 Sweeney Oil H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Mass Path, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
206F2 Sweeney Oil H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed G.B. Noonan, rider of Younowhatimean, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that G.B. Noonan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), they suspended him for three racedays.
