The Raceday Stewards received a report from the IHRB Starter, Mr. N. Byrne, that D. King, rider of Likable Chancer and T. Power Roche, rider of A Nod To Getaway, had failed to comply with his instructions which contributed to a false start and on the second approach had come forward before the flag was raised. Evidence was heard from the Starter and riders concerned. Mr. Byrne stated that the two riders had broken into a canter before he dropped the flag after he had given them clear instructions to walk. D. King stated that other riders were as much to blame as he was and he was unsure if the Starter's flag was raised for the second approach. T. Power Roche was also of the view that other riders had contributed to the issues at the start and he further stated that it was not clear to him that the Starter's flag was not raised for the second approach. Having viewed the recording of the start and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that D. King and T. Power Roche were in breach of Rule 208(iii). Having considered their clean records in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended both riders for one raceday.

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed T. Power Roche, rider of El Champo, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having considered his record in this regard (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays.
