The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Realpolitik trained by John Joseph Hanlon was noted to have blood at both nostrils post race.
G.B. Noonan, rider of Bluestack Mountain trained by Michael P. Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having lost his action.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of My Capel Island trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Thomas Cooper, trainer, reported to her that his charge Ringsend John was found to have blood in the trachea following a post race endoscopic examination.
191B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Mares) H'dleM.M. McDonagh, rider of Leading Babe trained by Patrick J. F. Hassett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right and jumped to the right during this race.
191C AdareManor Opportunity H'cap H'dleR. Deegan, rider of Kilgorey trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was flat out throughout this race.
The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr J.R. Banahan, that G.B. Noonan, rider of Scalino, N. Terrassin, rider of Whatucallher and A. McCurtin, rider of Ask David had failed to obey his instructions and caused a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Mr Banahan stated that the riders had been informed of the new starting procedure but had failed to walk in in a controlled manner which resulted in he having to call a false start. G.B. Noonan stated that he did not want to pull out of his mount as he had a bad reputation. N. Terrassin stated that he went with the other horses. A. McCurtin stated that he wanted to be handy but his mount got buzzed up at the sart. All riders accepted that they had been familiarised with the new starting protocols and apologised for their actions. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the three riders were in breach of Rule 208. Having taken their previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned the three riders on this occasion.
191D2 Dawn Hi + Lo H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed P.T. Enright, rider of Da Big Fella, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence P.T. Enright stated that he had used his whip as his mount was lary in front and had jumped right at the last three hurdles. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that P.T. Enright was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned P.T. Enright on this occasion.
The Stewards enquired into an incident before the third last hurdle involving Christmas Jumper, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first (dead heat) and Dylan Oak, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed fourth, where it appeared that Dylan Oak moved right and caused interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In her evidence Rachael Blackmore stated that Dylan Oak had come out and pushed her mount out to the right on two separate occasions causing her to check. D.J. O'Keeffe demonstrated during a video review of the latter stages of the race that his mount was hanging and jumping to the right despite his best efforts to keep the horse straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted that Dylan Oak, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, was hanging badly and took no further action.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Dylan Oak trained by Denis W. Cullen, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung very badly during this race.
191E Dawn Milk Run H'cap H'dleB.J. Cooper, rider of Bonarc trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a very bad mistake with a circuit to run.
191F Ring Of Kerry INH Flat RaceThe Stewards enquired into an incident over two furlongs from the finish involving Fairy Tree, ridden by Mr A.T. Feeney, placed second and Malina Girl, ridden by Mr J. Dunne, placed third, where it appeared that Fairy Tree made an outward manoeuvre and caused interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence Mr J. Dunne stated that he was going for a gap when Fairy Tree came out and shut out his mount. Mr A.T. Feeney stated that his mount had ducked away from DiceBox which caused him to move into the path of Malina Girl. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr A.T. Feeney had caused the incident by riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr A.T. Feeney for three racedays.
The Stewards interviewed Mr A.T. Feeney, rider of Fairy Tree, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr A.T. Feeney stated that he was concentrating on keeping his mount straight and lost count on his use of the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr A.T. Feeney was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr A.T. Feeney for two racedays.
The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr J.R. Banahan, that Mr J.C. Barry, rider of Barton Snow, Mr T. Hamilton, rider of Dicebox, Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Montel Glory, Mr A. McMahon, rider of Saved By The River, Mr G. Abbas, rider of Soldier Solid, Mr D. O'Connor, rider of Bambeano, Mr A.T. Feeney, rider of Fairy Tree, Mr J. Dunne, rider of Malina Girl and Mr S.J.P. Baragry, rider of Whiskey Lady had been clearly briefed of the new starting procedures and failed to obey his instruction to walk. This resulted in a false start being called. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. The riders admitted that they had been briefed by Mr Banahan of the new starting procedure and in their evidence admitted that they had broken into a canter without being requested to do so. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that all riders were in breach of Rule 208 and cautioned each person on this occasion.
