The Stewards interviewed Sorcha Woods, rider of Drummond Warrior, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that she used her whip to keep her mount straight on the home bend and in the closing stages. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken her record into account suspended her for three race days.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Howling Wolf, ridden by L.T. McAteer, Crystal Dawn, ridden by R. Whearty, and Take My Hand, ridden by W. Joyce, where it appeared Howling Wolf ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L.T. McAteer stated that they had gone quick, the race was getting rough going into the bend. In the straight he was going backwards when he received pressure from his inner when his chance was gone, at which point he sat up. R. Whearty, who gave his evidence in the presence of Mr. Ian Kearney, stated that he rode in a straight line up the straight before getting a bump. W. Joyce stated that he shifted right in the straight but wasn't aware how close the horse on his outer was and didn't hear a shout. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found W. Joyce in breach of Rule 214 (Careless Riding) and having taken his record into account cautioned him on this occasion.

192D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

S.M. Crosse, rider of Livia Celeste trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up leaving the stalls.

192F Manguard Plus M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the three furlong pole involving McPherson (GB), ridden by S. Foley, Premium Ticket, ridden by K.J. Manning, Izzys Charm, ridden by James J. Doyle, and Khlass, ridden by C.D. Hayes, where it appeared Izzys Charm fell. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount was green, he was happy riding on the inner, everything seemed to be running smoothly when the horses in front got congested in the dip and Mr. Doyle came down. James J. Doyle stated that he sat second, one off the rail all the way, at the three pole they got really tight, where he stood up for half a stride, he caught a heel and went down as the two in front came together. S. Foley stated that he raced three wide, following Mr. Doyle's girth, his horse wasn't taking him, he felt a little contact at the point of the bend. K.J. Manning stated that he followed W.J. Lee, his mount was very green, he was surprised that Mr. Doyle fell as he didn't deviate very much. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, due to the lack of appropriate video evidence the Stewards couldn't apportion blame to any rider but advised S. Foley and K.J. Manning to ride with more care in future.
