The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Peter Croke, trainer of Dinero Falso (GB) (Declared in error) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

The Stewards interviewed D.G. Hogan, rider of Karakhan, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that D.G. Hogan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) (frequency). Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned D.G. Hogan on this occasion.

R. Deegan, rider of Goody Roque (FR) trained by Mary Ellen Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

G.P. Brouder, rider of Uppertown Mya trained by Mary Ellen Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

173D Bar One Racing New Account (M) M'dn Hdle

P. Townend, rider of Fame And Joy trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

173E1 Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

R. Deegan, rider of Nice To Meet trained by L. Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got stopped a little on the inside turning in.

The Stewards reviewed an incident coming out of the back straight on the final circuit involving Boomtown Girl, ridden by J.B. Kane, Nice To Meet, ridden by R. Deegan, and Minella Mystics, ridden by S.D. Torrens, where it appeared that Nice to meet checked on the inside. Having viewed the recording of the incident the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards interviewed Jamie Hayes, rider of Poetica, concerning his use of the whip in the later stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that Poetica has been a tricky ride and she had fallen a few times in the past. He added that he was keeping her up to her job and accepted he had used his whip unnecessarily and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that he was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b)(unnecessary use of the whip when chances of winning or being placed were clearly gone).Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Jamie Hayes for 2 racedays.

173E2 Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed T. Joseph Kelly, rider of Trenchtown Rock, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had used his whip unnecessarily while out of contention. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that T. Joseph Kelly was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) (unnecessary use of whip when chances of winning or being placed are clearly gone). Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended T. Joseph Kelly for 2 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Siberian Star (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was staying on and he accepted that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that P.J. O'Hanlon was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) (excessive frequency), and having considered his record in this regard cautioned him on this occasion.

173G Bar One Racing Getting Out INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Thomas Gibney, trainer of Mr Saxobeat, in relation to the late withdrawal of his charge due to the going. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that his charge was present at the track and he had intended to run. Thomas Gibney had concerns regarding the going prior to racing given that forecast rain had not materialised. Following the running of the first race, he was of the opinion that the ground would be too lively for his charge and in the interest of safety withdrew. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the late withdrawal of Mr. Saxobeat.
