202A Crecora (C&G) M'dn H'dle
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rodgers Park, trained by John Patrick Ryan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be a poor mover otherwise was post race normal.
At the request of the Stewards, P.K. Donovan, rider of Rodgers Park, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount could not lie up with the early pace but got into contention at the back of the pack at the top of the hill. From thereon he was unable to pick up and in his opinion needs a longer trip.
202B Ballyneety (M) Rated Novice H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Robyndeglory, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.
202C Bruff H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Champagne Auction (GB), trained by Patrick G.Kelly, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his right hind leg post race.
202E1 Knocklong H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stilyker, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be a poor mover behind otherwise was post race normal.
At the request of the Stewards, J.S. McGarvey, rider of Stilyker, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount emptied on the turn into the straight and stopped quickly.
202E2 Knocklong H'cap H'dleS.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Eaton Lady trained by Miss Kate McGivern, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered at the final hurdle.
The Stewards reviewed an incident at the final hurdle involving Eaton Lady, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, unplaced and Alterno, ridden by E. Walsh, placed fourth, where it appeared that Alterno jumped awkwardly and impeded Eaton Lady who collided with the running rail. Having reviewed the recording of that part of the race, the Stewards were satisfied that no action was warranted.
202G Irish Stall Farms EBF (F) INH Flat RaceMr D. Allen, rider of Ask For Fame trained by Donal Coffey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he pulled up quickly and dismounted immediately after the winning post as his mount gave a lame step.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ask For Fame, trained by Donal Coffey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame in front post race.
The Stewards interviewed Mr T.P. Harney, rider of Gracesolution, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr T.P. Harney stated that he had misjudged the number of times that he had used his whip and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr T.P. Harney was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr T.P. Harney for three racedays.
