The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. J. Walsh, regarding the failure of J. Kearney, rider of Beachmount Paddy, placed sixth to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Mr. D. Scahill, who accompanied him. In his evidence, J. Kearney accepted that he had failed to present himself to weigh in as required and stated that this was an oversight on his part. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards using their powers under Rule 230, disqualified Beachmount Paddy from sixth place. As a consequence, they amended the result to read as follows:Amended result: First: Comfort Zone, Second: Monarchs Brae, Third: Beautiful Chaos, Fourth: Mighty Mo Missouri, Fifth: Srowland Jack. Furthermore, the Stewards were of the opinion J. Kearney was in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for 2 racedays and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Comfort Zone, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, and Mighty Mo Missouri, ridden by S.T. Sheehy, stated that his mount was a difficult ride throughout and had leaned inwards in the closing stages despite his best efforts. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action on this occasion other than to advise M.P. Sheehy to ride with more care in future.
