The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.E. Buckley replaced D.J. O'Keeffe on Colonel Mustard (FR), trained by Mrs Lorna Fowler (Race 1)(sore).
S. Ewing replaced D.J. O'Keeffe on Wendell's Lass (GB), trained by Thomas Gibney (Race 4)(sore).
P. Byrnes replaced M.J.M O'Sullivan on Attitash, trained by Jennifer Monaghan (Race 5)(stood down)
S. Ewing replaced D.J. O'Keeffe on Sirjack Thomas, trained by Adrian McGuinness (Race 5)(sore).
J.C. Gainford replaced D.J. O'Keeffe on Memory Of Youth, trained by Mrs Denise Foster (Race 7)(sore)
P.T. Enright replaced K.C. Sexton on Maud Ban, trained by E.Sheehy (Race 6)(see report)

L.P. Dempsey, rider of Harvey's Quay, trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last fence.

374B Tote Always SP Or Better H'cap S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Priory Park, trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Priory Park, trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced throughout the race.

J.C. Gainford, rider of Eighty Eight trained by Ross O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped big.

S. Ewing, rider of Wendell's Lass (GB), trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very green and momentarily ran short of room going to the bend after the stands. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

374D Kevin Sheedy Bowel Cancer H'cap H'dle

P. Byrnes, rider of Attitash trained by Jennifer Monaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Edward Cawley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Mary's Pride, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr E. Cawley stated that since purchasing this horse he has had plenty of training issues and found it difficult to keep him right. Having giving his horse time and a switch to more favourable softer ground he felt this has brought around the apparent improvement. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

P. Townend, rider of Klarc Kent (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

L.A. McKenna, rider of Givemylovetorose trained by Declan Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that the bit ran through his the horse's mouth.

The Raceday Stewards received a request from E. Sheehy, trainer of Maud Ban, to substitute the nominated rider K.E. Sexton, as he had failed to arrive. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the request.

The Raceday Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 196(V) fined K.E. Sexton €200 for failing to present himself to be weighed out within the time allowed.

374F Ring In The New Year H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards interviewed K.E Buckley, rider of Dr Val, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who excepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that K.E. Buckley was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account the Raceday Stewards suspended K.E. Buckley for one Raceday.
Mrs. T.K. Cooper absented herself from this enquiry.

374G Irish Stall. Farms EBF (F) INH Flat Race

Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Polly's Fortune, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left up the straight.

374H NavanRacecourse.ie Rated Novice S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hallowed Star, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Dunboyne trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dunboyne, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
