M.M. McDonagh, rider of Her Self, trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount's saddle slipped.
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Arthur (GER), trained by Sean Aherne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.
The IHRB Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Arthur (GER), trained by Sean Aherne, was seen to have blood at both nostrils post race.
115B Mongey Communications M'dn H'dleThe IHRB Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that March Law, trained by Matthew J. Smith, was seen to have blood at both nostrils post race.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding Fast Felix,
ridden by G.B.Noonan jumping the first hurdle on the way to the start. In his evidence, G.B. Noonan stated that his mount was running keenly to post and that he had tried to stop him inside the wings of the hurdle but was unable and ended up jumping the hurdle. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted his explanation and took no further action.
J.C. Gainford, rider of Jocker Du Moulin (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Sharetheknowledge, trained by Paul Tobin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.
115C Killarney Towers Hotel (Mares) H'dleThe Raceday Stewards requested a report from David M. O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Minx Tiara, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at Sandown on March 9th. Mr. O'Brien stated that the more favourable ground conditions today at Killarney contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
115D Lakes Of Killarney H'cap H'dleThe IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Encanto Bruno, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Vincent Laurence Halley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Senecia, placed first, as compared with his last run over hurdles at Thurles on January 21st. Mr. Halley, through his Authorised Represenative, stated that todays more favourable ground conditions contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
K.M. Donoghue, rider of Encanto Bruno, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.
115E Gerard O'Sullivan Memorial Novice S'chThe IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Music Of Tara (GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards, and reported the animal to be blowing hard and showing signs of delayed recovery post race.
115F Donie Sheahan Mem. Irish EBF (M) Beg SchB. Hayes, rider of Costanuci, trained by John Queally, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount mad a bad mistake at the fifth last fence.
P.T. Enright, rider of Pebble Bleu, trained by Colin Motherway, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last fence on the middle circuit.
115H An Excellent Choice (P-A) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Kalium (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr. Mullins stated that he had ridden a front running race and was unaware he was so far clear at that point in the race. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that Mr. P.W. Mullins was in breach of R.10.3(c)(the unnecessary hitting of a horse that clearly has its race won or has obtained its maximum placing). Having considered his record in this regard(first offence), they suspended him for two racedays. Mr. S. McDonogh was not present for this enquiry.
Mr T. Hamilton, rider of Florida Strait, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.
Shane Fenelon, rider of Kingdom Calling (FR), trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount gurgled down the back straight.
The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Florida Strait, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
