The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Chainofconsequence, trained by Michael J. McDonagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed a few times but was otherwise post race normal.
018E CJ Sheeran Group M'dn H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Time For Tea, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
P. Byrnes, rider of Killeavy Rose, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was pulled up injured.
018F Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mighty Oak Lad, trained by Karl Thornton, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost his left fore shoe and had a small abrasion on his left hind fetlock but was otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Niall Moore, rider of Jeriko De Baune (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Niall Moore stated that he was using his whip to correct his mount from leaning left. Upon reviewing the video evidence Niall Moore accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Niall Moore was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for 9 racedays. Furthermore the Raceday Stewards also advised Niall Moore to be more truthful in his evidence in future.
D.J Gilligan, rider of Mighty Oak Lad, trained by Karl Thornton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
018G SBK (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Ms. Stephanie Searle, Authorised Representative for Thomas Mullins, trainer, in relation to Coral River being presented without hind shoes as required under the provisions of R.16. Ms Searle stated that her charge was having his first run on the racecourse and was never shod behind prior to this. She further added that when trying to fit hind shoes to the animal before raceday he became increasingly difficult. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for Coral River to run without hind shoes on this occasion.
Mr P. Hanlon, rider of D Journey Man, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung violently left throughout.
