The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Twilight Hours (Off Feed) - €200

348A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race

S. Foley, rider of Emerald Banner, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never picked up in the home straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Port Augusta (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed first, Abiding Star, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fourth, and Emerald Banner, ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth, where it appeared S. Foley had to sit for a few strides. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S. Foley stated that his mount was unable to fill a gap that was closing due to horses rolling around in front of him and that he had to sit for a couple of strides. C.D. Hayes stated that he had to switch off heels, but felt he was clear of Emerald Banner. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount rolled a little right due to greenness, but felt he was clear of Emerald Banner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

348B Bar One Racing H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the line involving Daamberdiplomat, ridden by W. Joyce, placed third, Volatile Analyst (USA), ridden by S.T. McCullagh, placed second, and Cash Or Crypto, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed first, where it appeared Daamberdiplomat got tight for room close to the line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, W. Joyce stated that close to the line he got tightened for room from his outside. L.T. McAteer stated that he felt he kept straight right to the line. S.T. McCullagh stated that his mount hung left in the final furlong but stated that he put his stick down and had done his best to straighten him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found S.T. McCullagh was in breach of Rule 214 in that they had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

W. Joyce, rider of Daamberdiplomat, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room close to the line.

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Volatile Analyst (USA), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the final furlong.

D.J. Bunyan & G. O'Leary, trainer of Musical Tribute (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was showing signs of being in season post race.

348C Bar One Racing Nursery H'cap

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.A. Powell, rider of Mokotow Glory (GB), trained by Daniel James Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that after being slowly away he chased his mount who then subsequently over-raced .

348D2 Bar One Racing Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed K.G. Kennedy, rider of Joven De Corazon, concerning his use of the whip in the home straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found K.G. Kennedy was in breach of R.10.3(b)(unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed are gone) and considering his record in this regard they suspended him for four racedays.

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Inchiquin Maid, trained by David Kenneth Budds, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.

Amy Jo Hayes, rider of Born Ruthless, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount never travelled.

348E Bar One Racing M'dn

The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.F. Carroll, rider of Banana Three, concerning his use of the whip in the home straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found G.F. Carroll was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record in this regard they suspended him for six racedays.

348F Bar One Racing H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Jaafel, trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount found very little off the bridle.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Higher Kingdom (GB), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount reared in the stalls.

J.A. Powell, rider of Red Special (USA), trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount moved badly.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Benavente (GB), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed second, and Fairytale Princess, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.D. Hayes stated that he was finishing well and had to shift right as the winner drifted right handed close to the line. J.J.G. Ryan stated that his mount drifted slightly right close to the line, but that he corrected her immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Fairytale Princess had caused interference to Benavente he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

348G Bar One Racing H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Limestone Red, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first, and Hasten Slowly, ridden by Cillian McConnell, placed second, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, Cillian McConnell stated that he was staying on when he received a bump from the winner inside the final furlong. W.J. Lee stated that his mount veered right, but felt he reacted quickly and corrected his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Limestone Red had caused interference to Hasten Slowly he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that W.J. Lee, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for eight racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hijo De La Luna (GER), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from M. Halford & T. Collins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Limestone Red, placed first, as compared with its recent form. M. Halford stated that his charge was an immature horse who benefited from a step up in trip and the application of cheek pieces on this occasion. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted its content.
