Daire James McConville, rider of Mystic Sage, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Martin Paul Fitzgerald, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Glorytogod Tom, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer stated that on his last run Glorytogod Tom was ridden to settle but the field got very strung out and he ran on to finish seventh. He further stated that todays race was run much more to suit him. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed T. Ryan, rider of Slim Marvel (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that T. Ryan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) (frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they suspended T. Ryan for six racedays.
394B BoyleSports M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr A. Burke-Ott, rider, in relation to failing to pull up his mount when he had no more to give. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence Mr. A. Burke-Ott stated that he felt his mount was tiring but thought he had enough left in him to get home. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. A. Burke-Ott was in breach of Rule 216(ii)(b)(failing to pull up a tired mount) and having taken his previous record into account they suspended him for two racedays.
394C Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Mares) H'dleJ.W. Kennedy, rider of Mollys Mango (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen and pulled up.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mollys Mango (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and to have a small wound to her right fore pastern post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Whatcouldhavebeen, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Niall Moore, rider of Good As Hell, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Niall Moore was in breach of Regulation 10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having taken his previous record into account they suspended Niall Moore for two racedays.
Jarlath P. Fahey, trainer of Whatcouldhavebeen, reported to the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer that his charge scoped clean post race.
394D M.W. Hickey Memorial S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bronn, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported that the animal was found to have struck into his left fore pastern.
P. Townend, rider of Bronn, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
394E I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Beg. S'chaseK.E Buckley, rider of Charming Fortune, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
394F1 Kehoe Farming H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pirate Bonnie, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Jeriko De Baune (FR), ridden by Niall Moore, placed first, and Cruisin Susan, ridden by Mr J.P. Berry, placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
394F2 Kehoe Farming H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. P. Graffin, regarding the start of this race. Evidence was heard from Mr E.T. Mellerick, rider of Tastyee, J.S. McGarvey, rider of Eikonix (GB), A.P. Kelly, rider of We'llgowats, H.P. Cleary, rider of Mastermind, Mr J. Dunne, rider of Brownstone, T.P. Harney, rider of Huit Reflets (FR), B. Hayes, rider of Kiln Time, Mr P.W. Gleeson, rider of Man River, Mr G.F. Wallis, rider of Mollys Dream, A. McCurtin, rider of Cornmarket and Mr. P. Graffin. Mr. P. Graffin stated that Eikonix was being a very difficult horse. He was mindfull of this horse and as he was near the tape he called the other riders forward but they were reluctant to come. B. Hayes stated that all the other riders were in confusion as the difficult horse was so close to the tape they did not think they would be left off. Evidence was also heard from some of the other riders. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
The Raceday Stewards informed Rachel O'Neill, authorised representative of the trainer, concerning the poor performance of Eikonix (GB), in this race that a repeat performance would render the horse liable for a suspension.
J.S. McGarvey, rider of Eikonix (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount refused at the first hurdle.
