214A Galmont Hotel & Galway Bay Hotel Nov Hdl

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Palamon, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the second hurdle involving Palamon, ridden by J.C. Gainford, unplaced, and Nibras Rainbow, ridden by K.C. Sexton, who was unseated, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. C, Gainford stated that his mount jumped slightly right causing unintentional interference. K. C. Sexton stated that his mount jumped fine and the horse on his outside jumped slightly right through no fault of the rider causing him to run short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

214B Easyfix H'cap H'dle

Sam Ewing, rider of Killinure Lass, trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got very worked up in the parade ring.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the second last involving Golden Sandbanks (GB), ridden by K.C. Sexton, who came down, Malbay Madness, ridden by D. Meyler, unplaced, and Son Of Hypnos, ridden by J. Smith, placed first, where it appeared Golden Sandbanks slipped up on the flat. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K. C. Sexton stated that he caught a heel when the horse on his inside moved out. D. Meyler stated that he maintained his line and was unaware of any incident. J. Smith stated that he was clipping heels with the horse in front and went for a gap when it appeared and was not aware of the horse on his outer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, K.C. Sexton, rider of Golden Sandbanks (GB), trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount sustained an injury and came down.

214C Eventus Irish (C&G) EBF M'dn

W.M. Lordan, rider of Rock Of Cashel, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left throughout.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Truth Be Told, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly into stride.

214D Clayton Hotel Galway H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Avatar Jet, trained by Mark Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Staysound Susie, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled right under pressure in the closing stages.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Staysound Susie, ridden by A.J. Slattery, unplaced, and Avatar Jet, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced,where it appeared Avatar Jet momentarily ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A. J. Slattery stated that his mount rolled in but he straightened as soon as he heard a shout. G. F. Carroll stated that his race was run when the horse in front was dropping back and he let a shout. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Cornahilt Soldier, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed fourth, and Avatar Jet, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced, where it appeared Cornahilt Soldier momentarily ran short of room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

214E Connacht Hotel (QR) H'cap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W.P. Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sirius (FR), placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Mr. D.J. Casey, Authorised Representative for W. P. Mullins stated that his charge needed the run last time out after a long absence and this coupled with the application of the first time hood had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Teed Up, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have sustained a superficial wound to its right fore pastern, but was otherwise post race normal.

Mr L.P. Shanahan, rider of Weston (GER), trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by an injured horse two and a half furlongs from the finish.

Mr H.C. Swan, rider of Shajak, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he moved left to avoid an incident two and a half furlongs from the finish.

Miss R. Dudfield, rider of Dads Lad, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that things got tight two and a half furlongs from the finish but felt there was no one at fault.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident two and a half furlongs from the finish involving Weston (GER), ridden by Mr L.P. Shanahan, unplaced, and Sionnach Eile, ridden by Mr D. Doyle, who pulled up injured, where it appeared Weston was hampered by the horse pulling up. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Mr D.H. Dunsdon, rider of Sirius (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he moved across to avoid an incident two and a half furlongs from home.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Alphonse Le Grande, ridden by Mr B.M. Coonan, unplaced, and Lord Erskine, ridden by Miss M. Walsh, placed fourth, where it appeared Alphonso Le Grande ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. B. M. Coonan stated that he had to check slightly and he let a shout. Miss M. Walsh stated that she thought there was room when she went for the gap. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind Miss. M. Walsh to ride with more awareness and Mr. B. M. Coonan to report in future anything that may have affected the performance of his mount.

214F Grá Chocolates H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cruden (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Brosna Town, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

214G Monami Construction INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving High Court Cave, ridden by Mr O. McGill, placed fourth, and Fool's Errand, ridden by Mr G. Daly, unplaced, where it appeared High Court Cave caught a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. O. McGill stated that he let a shout but the horse on his outside continued to come in and he clipped a heel. Mr. G. Daly accepted he was at fault and apologised. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. G. Daly, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record(first offence)in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr. G. Daly for two race days.

Mr O. McGill, rider of High Court Cave, trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slightly impeded coming down the hill.

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Kaikoura (FR), trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled too hard throughout.
