The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the two furlong pole involving Sovereign Affair, ridden by R. Whearty, unplaced, and Gazelle D'or, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, placed second, where it appeared Sovereign Affair drifted left and made slight contact with Gazelle D'or. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
212B Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated RaceD.P. McDonogh, rider of Origami, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped awkwardly.
212C Doneraile H'capK.G. Kennedy, rider of Gabriella's Spirit, trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount fly leaped out of the stalls.
212D Sign Up To Our Newsletter M'dnS. Foley, rider of Emerald Banner, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mounts action shortened in the final 100 yards.
212E Follow Us On Social Media H'capM.W Hassett, rider of Goldmoyne, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left off the bridle.
S. Foley, rider of Theriverrunsdeep, trained by Seamus G. O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving I'm Spartacus, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed second, and Goldmoyne, ridden by M.W Hassett, unplaced, where it appeared I'm Spartacus carried Goldmoyne a little left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Rebecca's Girl, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced , and Zentopia, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced, where it appeared L.T. McAteer had to sit momentarily. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the fact that Goldmoyne , trained by T. Doyle, did not enter the parade ring prior to the race, instead being mounted on the chute and proceeding directly to the start. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he is a difficult horse and he didn't want to agitate him further by entering the ring. He further added that he wasn't aware of his obligations to ensure his horse enters the ring prior to the race. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that T. Doyle was in breach of R32(ii) by not ensuring his mount was paraded in the parade ring a reasonable time before the signal to mount was given and having considered his clean record, they fined him €100 on this occasion.
212F Buy Tickets Online Median Auction RaceThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Cill Mocheallog, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, and Karsavina (GB), ridden by H.J. Horgan, placed first where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. H.J. Horgan stated that he followed Cill Mocheallog into the straight and when reaching the cut-away he manouvered right into the gap between Cill Mocheallog and the rail when he felt pressure from his left causing him to hit the rail. W.J. Lee stated that he was making his way to the rail and was initially unaware of a horse inside him until he felt some contact from behind. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found W.J. Lee, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden Carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Cill Mocheallog, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, Karsavina (GB), ridden by H.J. Horgan, placed first, and My Little Lady, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed, second where it appeared W.J. Lee had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.M. Sheridan stated that his mount was green and when he caught a fresh hold of her she over-reacted and shifted right. W.J. Lee stated that he was beaten when he had to sit for a stride as My Little Lady shifted right. H.J. Horgan stated that he was not involved in the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
W.J. Lee, rider of Cill Mocheallog, trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled in and felt contact from behind and leaned right.
212G Racing Again August 5th H'capB.M. Coen, rider of Our Lil (GB), trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left under pressure.
S. Foley, rider of Fine Print, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around under pressure.
