Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a two minute delay to this race
231B Smiddy's Pub Mullingar H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approximately 150 yards from the finish involving Slieve Bearnagh, ridden by Mr J.M. Halford, placed second, and Gamigin, ridden by Mr O. McGill, placed first, where it appeared horses came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Noel C. Kelly, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Gamigin, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that this horse found the going at Roscommon last time too fast and appreciated the easier ground today in what he felt was a poorer race. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.
231C BetXS Staffless Betting Shops M'dn H'dleJ.C. Gainford, rider of Go Frankie, trained by Peter Croke, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was green and ducked inwards with a lap to go. Having reviewed the incident the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
H.E. Sexton, rider of Getaway Blondie, trained by Adrian Sexton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount may have gone wrong.
D.J. Gilligan, rider of Ocean Brew, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount dwelt at the start.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Getaway Blondie, trained by Adrian Sexton, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, E. Dwan, rider of Somerset Hill, trained by P.M.J.Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very green at the road crossing.

P. Townend, rider of Mr Adjudicator (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise.
231E Kieran Kelly Memorial H'cap S'chaseC.M. Quirke, rider of Cosmic Blizzard, trained by S. Curling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise.
K.C. Sexton, rider of Ardaghs Choice, trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had a look at the chute.
The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. A. Ring, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr O. McGill, rider of Eagle Terrace (GB), weighed in at 1.1 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he believes a girth was changed after he had weighed out. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having taken his record into account they cautioned him on this occasion.
231F SwissMPC Medical Device H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined A Wave Of The Sea, trained by J.P.Broderick, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
