The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately half a furlong from the finish involving Comfort Line, ridden by Adam Caffrey, placed second, Glencullen, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed third, and Dynamite Defense, ridden by K.J. Leonard, placed first, where it appeared Glencullen had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.M. Leonard stated that in the last half furlong his mount went left. He further added his reins got tangled up a bit and he didn't have enough time to straighten his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found K.J. Leonard was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.

Ryan was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his clean record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion.
