Mark Michael McNiff, trainer of For Everyone (off feed) - €200186A Family Day At Sligo Races M'dn H'dle
The Raceday Stewards interviewed K.C. Sexton, rider of Serotonin (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that one of his uses of the whip connected with the boot of the rider that was inside him. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that K.C. Sexton was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken his clean record into acount, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays.
186B CT Electrical M'dn H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr J. Aherne, rider of Kilbride Hill, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount was responding to the line. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr.J. Aherne was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequnecy)and R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having taken his clean record into regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
186C Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) H'cap H'dleD.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Miss Fourie, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran off the bend passing the stand on the second circuit.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Peter Fahey, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Gone For Tea, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Peter Fahey stated that his charge was too keen on its previous run and he changed tactics today by dropping his charge in behind the pace. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.
186D Friends Of Brian Mulligan Oppor Hcap HdlS. O'Callaghan, rider of Full Noise, trained by Miss Katy Brown, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't handle the track and also felt the ground was too quick for his mount.
186E1 Kilcawley Construction H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Falcon Park, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
Sam Ewing, rider of I Dont Lie, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the the Clerk of the Scales, that his mount hung violently left throughout.
186E2 Kilcawley Construction H'cap H'dleD.J Gilligan, rider of Banada Bridge, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by an IHRB veterinary officer.
H.E. Sexton, rider of Kiss My Lucky Egg (GB), trained by Adrian Sexton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame. This was subsequently confirmed by an IHRB veterinary officer adding that she was lame on her right fore.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Del Girl, trained by Shane Crawley, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of delayed recovery post race.
186F Sligo Park Hotel H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Glendine Billy, trained by Anthony Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
D.E. Mullins, rider of Glendine Billy, trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump at the first hurdle.
Daire James McConville, rider of Amaulino (FR), trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Tom Kelly trained by Mrs Jayne Hearne had a cut to its right hind.
